The date for the premiere of Welcome to Wrexham has been confirmed.

The documentary, which is set to cover the on-field and off-field activites of Wrexham AFC since the Hollywood takeover of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney is set to be released later this year.

It was confirmed by FX Networks in an Always Sunny in Wrexham style advert that it would be released this year, but the production company have gone one further this time.

They have announced that the documentary will premiere on streaming network Hulu, on August 24.

A statement on their social media said:

"An underdog story the whole world can root for @VancityReynolds & @RMcElhenney take on owning a football club in North Wales, UK. FX's docuseries Welcome to Wrexham premieres August 24. Stream on @hulu."

On the field, Wrexham have had one of their best seasons in recent memory, still in with a shot at the National League title and a date at Wembley still to come in the FA Trophy Final.

Off the field has been fairly busy too. The sacking of Dean Keates and appointment of Phil Parkinson, Hollywood visits to Wrexham and top class signings.

Welcome to Wrexham is going to be highly anticipated, not only for fans of the Reds', but for most people in the world as they aim to get a glimpse into the Hollywood ownership of Wrexham AFC.
