BARRY Town United completed a Genero Adran Premier double over The New Saints, with victory lifting Josh Anderson’s side off the bottom of the table.

The Jenner Park outfit moved up to sixth in the standings, above TNS and Port Talbot Town, after winning 3-1 at Park Hall.

Swansea City stay top thanks to a 2-0 defeat of Pontypridd, Cardiff City remain second following a 3-0 victory at Aberystwyth Town and third-placed Cardiff Met beat Port Talbot by the same scoreline.

Manon Pearce gave Barry the lead at TNS, only for Lexie Harrison to level things up from the penalty spot early in the second half.

Mackenzie Olden then struck with 15 minutes to play and Sian Rees added a third for Barry soon after.

Pontypridd held Swansea until the 66th minute of their clash in Treforest, Katie Hosford finishing off a Stacey John-Davis assist.

And Hosford turned provider with eight minutes left, as substitute Chloe Tiley made sure of Swansea’s seven win out of seven this season.

A first-half brace from the prolific Phoebie Poole was enough to give Cardiff City all three points in Aberystwyth, while Emily Allen was on target again for Cardiff Met.

She scored the Archers’ third in the 71st minute of their trip to Victoria Road, adding to efforts from Laura-May Walkley and Elianna Chavez late in the first half.

This Sunday sees Barry host Swansea, Cardiff Met and Cardiff City entertain Aberystwyth and TNS respectively, and Port Talbot go to Pontypridd.
