Wales boss Gemma Grainger – with the help of some former internationals – has named a full-strength squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and Estonia later this month.

The clash with Slovenia in Lendava on October 22 will be the women's team's 200th official match, with the Estonians visiting Cardiff City Stadium four days later.

Wales greats from across the last 28 years and the unaffiliated team before that announced the squad in a video released on the Football Association of Wales’ social media platforms.

The first official Wales game was played in September 1993 when Iceland were the opponents at Afan Lido.

For this month’s double-header, which follows wins against Kazakhstan and Estonia, Grainger has selected a 25-strong squad that includes plenty of experience and three uncapped players.

Leicester City’s Hannah Cain, Chloe Williams of Manchester United and Plymouth Argyle’s Poppy Soper will be hoping to win their first caps at senior level.

While the likes of cap centurions Jess Fishlock and Sophie Ingle come into the international window following a rich vein of form at their clubs.
