JD CYMRU Premier champions Connah’s Quay Nomads will face Armenia’s FC Alashkert in the Champions League first qualifying round.

Andy Morrison’s Nomads host their opponents at Aberystwyth Town’s Park Avenue in the first leg of the tie on either July 6 or 7.

The Welsh side will then make the long trip to the Armenian capital of Yerevan for the second leg the following week.

Morrison’s men fell at the first hurdle last season after suffering a 2-0 defeat to FK Sarajevo in a game played at Cardiff City Stadium.

Meanwhile, there is Irish opposition for all three of Wales’s representatives in the first qualifying round of next season’s Europa Conference League.

The New Saints, who finished as runners-up to the Nomads in the league, face Northern Ireland’s Glentoran.

Bala Town, third in the table, take on European debutants Larne, while play-off winners Newtown play League of Ireland side Dundalk.

Anthony Limbrick’s Saints and Chris Hughes’ Newtown are both away in the first legs of their ties, Colin Caton’s Bale start at home.

Those matches take place on July 8 and 15.
