With The National Environmental Awards just around the corner, anticipation is growing ahead of the ceremony at Rougemont School in Newport on July 14.

While the finalists are getting ready to don their best bib and tucker for the second annual awards, so too are the sponsors who will also be there on the night.

Western Power Distribution and GPT Environmental are this year’s co-headline sponsors, but there is a raft of other businesses backing the event by sponsoring award categories.

Sponsors of the Technology for Good Award are Evolve Home Energy Solutions, a Welsh company established in the retrofit – adding new technology to older systems – and renewables sector.

MGM Group and PlantSea will go head-to-head for the Technology for Good Award.

“Evolve Home Energy Solutions are a Welsh company who are well established in the retrofit and renewables sector,” said a company spokesperson.

“We deliver a wide range of projects, from helping families make their home more energy efficient and cost effective, to local authority and housing association projects, to government-led initiatives.

The National Wales:

“Based in Monmouth, our delivery team consist of more than 75 people and we continue to steadily grow and offer sustainable employment and training opportunities to the local workforce.

“As part of our wider green sector commitments, we have an insulation manufacturing business in Llantrisant and have recently partnered with GN Group who are investing in local SME (small-to-medium enterprises) retrofit and renewables training via the Sustainable Energy Centre in Newport.

“We are 100% committed to net zero carbon in both the context of the Welsh Government’s challenging timescales and indeed the UK Government goals along the journey to net zero by 2050.

“In the past three years alone, we've delivered projects in excess of 15,000 tonnes of carbon savings.

“As a group of dedicated green sector people, Evolve Home Energy Solutions are proud to support and be affiliated with these awards and all the amazing candidates.”

Evolve was founded in 2015 by Paul Simpson and Gary Randle, who between them have 50 years’ experience in the energy efficiency sector.

The company was created because the duo wanted to bring a new approach to energy efficiency based on quality, customer service and innovation.

Evolve now provides specialist home energy solutions in locations across South Wales, Bristol, Somerset, Devon and Oxfordshire to name a few.

Notable achievements include working for some of the leading insulation companies as technicians, foremen and supervisors, and in management roles across sales, marketing, business development, contract management and operations.

Evolve have project managed more than 3,000 cavity clearances and developed a system that means cavity wall insulation can be installed with fewer drill holes and in hard to access properties.
